"Andy played the key programming role in producing a sophisticated and dynamic ecommerce web site on short timeframe during the spring of 2008. The design specs for this site were ambitious and challenging; his expertise helped produce an effective and attractive site." - Erik Iverson

'I'm on it', shortly followed by 'Done'; those were Andy's most frequently used words. On a highly customized e-commerce project with a changing feature set under an impossible schedule, Andy managed to find solutions, meet the deadlines and never lose his cool. Even under pressure, he takes the time to ask good questions and pay attention to details. His easy going nature made him a joy to work with."

The client wanted to create a site to tell the story of the company and promote their unique skin care products to spas and individual customers.  Shoppers would  be able browse a product catalog and purchase products online.

A Web 2.0 design and interface was created by a graphics design studio.  The complex design demanded the use of AJAX for fast screen updates.  My role as sole web developer was to build a data-driven website using PHP/AJAX/XHTML for the front-end user interface, and a large back-end database for company and product information.  An e-commerce shopping cart was also customized to work with this site.  I worked closely with a graphics designer and business manager to create this website. Subversion was used as a version control system.
