The client, based in Portsmouth, NH,  had a successful WordPress website serving as the online version of a small editorial newspaper. A database of political biographies was requested, along with the ability to run interactive polls on these politicians.

My role as web developer was to create PHP driven scripts to allow visitors browse or search the database, edit and view database entries, and to connect poll results with to the database.  Work was done with the client in creating the custom database for the biographies.   A custom table was added to the WordPress CMS database.  PHP scripts and DHTML pages were created to  so this table of data could be edited, displayed, browsed, and searched.  An outside Poll plugin was added to the site.  PHP scripts were created to add the poll results to the custom table.  A system for uploading and displaying photographs for the biographies was also created.
